DOT Physical Exam
To be eligible for a CDL you must be at least 18 years old, have a valid Texas driver’s license and pass a D.O.T Physical Exam. We will schedule your dot physical exam appointment at our academy.
ELDT Online
The day one of your academy visits we will assign you a username and password to our online theory so you can complete all of our 35 chapter video and then complete your ELDT portion. A certificate of completion will be given to you
CLP
After completing your ELDT portion from 1st Choice CDL Academy , you will schedule an appointment for DPS to take the 4 required multiple choice tests of Texas Special Requirements, General knowledge, combination vehicles (class A only),and Air breaks. You must obtain 80+ on each test to receive the CLP
BTW
1st Choice CDL Academy will train you for 2 straight weeks in order for you to pass your Road Test. We will work with you on Pre-Trip Inspection , straight backing , Offset Backing, Parallel Parking,and public road drive.
